About the agency

The Brand Guild is an integrated public relations, marketing, events and creative agency founded in Washington, DC in 2010 by Barbara Martin and Jayne Sandman. The two remain co-CEOs, overseeing a team with offices in Washington and New York. Its specialties include food and beverage, restaurants, hospitality, consumer lifestyle, retail, commercial real estate and growing technology-oriented brands.

The agency's public relations practice combines national media pitching with executive positioning, crisis planning, media training and brand storytelling. Its event and creative teams develop experiences and campaigns that can accompany editorial launches. Specialist leadership includes Giselle-Marie Roig in lifestyle and food-and-beverage communications and Sofia Royce in real estate and emerging-growth business PR.

Selected work includes national publicity for Levain Bakery as it grew beyond New York, brand storytelling for Room & Board, and hospitality communications for The Inn at Little Washington and chef Patrick O'Connell. The team's broader portfolio includes Glowbar, Skanska, Sweetgreen, Uncle Nearest and the Preakness Stakes, illustrating its range from retail product launches to restaurant reputation and major events.
